This week I (Suzy) am having a wonderful time visiting with Arlene and the US headquarters of Fiberygoodness (Arlenes Studio). This is a big treat and it is, of course, fantastic to have this time to share together after the last 12 months of working together online only.  And I wanted to share with you too, because today Arlene took me for a wonderful experience at a nearby attraction, the Winterthur Mansion and gardens that once belonged to the DuPont family and are now open to the public to enjoy. And I certainly did!

Arlene knows me well and she picked just the right place for us to spend this lovely spring afternoon.

This is a fantastically inspirational place, I loved hearing the stories of the family and the development of the large collection of antiques and precious items on display as well as stories of the garden and its creation. I wanted to share my photos with you that I took there today, because I found it so inspirational, I am sure there is going to be some fiberygoodness come from this, and maybe you will find it just as inspiring as I did 🙂

I haven’t looked at daffodils the same way since I found out I could use them to dye my wool…. The weather seems one step ahead of us here in Scotland. Our cherry trees are just about to burst into bloom.
