Spin Together – Pick a Card, Any Card

Today we kicked off the tinyStudio Teams participating in this years Spin Together event! I am proud and excited to have three tinyStudio teams this year, Captained by Helen Keenan, Annette Montgomery, and Su Jolly. Team tinystudio’s are going to be super busy over the next 7 days, spinning and chatting and chatting and spinning, with Zooms, FB Rooms to drop into, and also local gatherings for those who live close enough to do so. With Spin Together in mind,

New Purchase Option!

New Purchase Option!

Since the very beginning of tinyStudio, I have kept all our current issues available to subscribers only. We LOVE our subscribers, their support is what keeps us going from issue to issue, video podcast to video podcast 🙂 I want to be sure that our subscribers know just how much we appreciate that support. Over time, I decided it would be great to share the magazine to a wider audience, perhaps there were people out there who did not want

Firstly, I do hope you and your loved ones are safe and well in these difficult times. This is definitely the moment for us all to work together and support each other with kindness and generosity, to hopefully ease some of the anxiety and stress we are all facing. I hope that things tinyStudio are bringing you a little light, and some creative inspiration to help you through! Don’t forget in a recent post I shared my free and complete

Fleece!

Fleece!

If you like to purchase raw fleece and do your own fiber prep for spinning, you probably also find that its handy to keep a record of fleeces you have and fleeces you have also processed and finished with! What I am sharing with you now is a super easy peasy graphic way of recording just the key information about each fleece you have purchased. This is a handy way to keep the information you need for project planning and

2018 Round-up

2018 Round-up

First lets start with something festive!  Actually, beyond the image above, I don’t know quite where to start, this year has been eventful! At the beginning of 2018 all I knew was that I had ideas, that the website needed updating and refreshing, and the vague feeling that in order to increase my creative time I needed to put my ideas about simplification and organisation into practice! Added to this the ongoing parenting involved in getting a ten year old

tinyStudio Creative Life Magazine Giveaway!

I need to start by saying this is a dream come true, creating the fibery magazine that I have always wanted to read! And after a very long time in the planning, our website is reignited and the very first issue is out with subscribers. I can breathe again 🙂 I am over the moon thrilled with how Issue One has come together, Evanita and I found such a variety of incredible artists who share beautiful insights into their processes

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

Firstly, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, from the deepest fiber of my stash, and with a big virtual hug, for your amazing support of Fiberygoodness over the course of 2017! In many ways it has been a tumultuous year, but it has also been an exciting one, with what feels like a consolidation of Fiberygoodness itself and where we are going with it. I will write more about this in the New Year

‘Yarn Floating’ – Another way to use Art Yarn

The free Tutorial download link can be found at the bottom of the page! If you are like me, you probably have something of a wee stash of art yarns, and many of mine are also smallish quantities, made as demo’s during workshops, or as experiment samples, or even just using up the last of a particular fibre that I love. Usually I keep all these for weaving with, they tend to make my favourite weavings! But of course there

Fibery Goodies! Free Project to Spin and Wear!

Fibery Goodies! Free Project to Spin and Wear!

A little while ago we brought you the ebook on how to approach and spin Multi-Media fibers such as those found in the wonderful Namaste Farm ‘ScrapBoxes’ or collections of various different fibers from your stash. This week I would like to offer you an extra treat that sprung from that original offering, and this is free for a limited time! When we were working on the Multi Media book projects we (the contributors) were challenged to share our own

Coming up: New Resources and the FiberyGoodness shop

Its Friday, and I hope you are all looking forward to a weekend of much fibery goodness! For myself (Suzy), I would be pretty happy with a day off  and some extra time to spend with my fiber and dye stashes. In the meantime though, there are preparations to make, websites to be updated, information to be sent out and fiber kits to be assembled, because… dahdahdahhhh.. we are nearly ready to reopen enrollments for the next Journey to the
