Just one more day to launch time! It seems so long to wait! But time is all relative isnt it, when I look back at the time we have spent developing the course and the website, it seems to have been both forever, and no more than a few moments in time ๐
Today I would like to share with you some of the artwork I have created to go with the course materials. There is a quite specific reason for using art rather than photos in the modules. Arlene and I decided that we wanted to steer away from using yarn and fiber eye candy in the module materials.ย Each module has a theme, one that can become very personal, ย and each module has the goal of developing self expression through the medium of fiber. Rather than being prescriptive or influence in any way, we decided to create some non-fibery art instead, to hopefully inspire but not guide. I spent some very happy hours drawing and painting, making each cover piece a ‘shield’ that reflects, at least in my mind, the theme and subject matter held within the module. Inside the modules are some additional images as well as a few extractions from the cover ‘shields’. I hope you enjoy them! These images are also going to be available as black and white line drawings (before I painted them!) in our very special ‘Images from the Golden Fleece’ Colouring book! Everyone who signs up for the course will receive this, and it will be available for sale to non-participants as well!
Next time you hear from us, it will be when we announce the launch of the FiberyGoodness.com website! Whooooot! If you want to know as soon as that happens, pop over there now and get your name on the mailing list, we will send you a mail as soon as we go live!

Till tomorrow, here is a sneak peek of some of the artwork, I hope you find it a little bit inspiring!
Always interested in new fibre ventures!
intrigued, but nervous
know I’ll be inspired, but am I up to it?
Hi! No need to be nervous.. We have developed this course with a focus on inspiration and creativity building, rather than setting strenuous technical spinning tasks (although you might choose to focus on those if you wish), so this course should be helpful to any level of skill and experience ๐
I can not wait!!!
I want to learn more, and even if I am not up to the task, I love to be creatively challenged!! One day I will be able to rock that wheel!!! ๐
Yoohooo!!! come onnnn now IT IS THE FIRST OF NOVEMBER ๐
<3 xxxx
all signed up….so excited.
I’d like the newsletter, still debating on signing up. I don’t weave.
Hi Caryn! If you click on the ‘news’ link at the top of the page you can sign up for the newsletter. The majority of the course is focussed on spinning, there is an optional weaving activity in the final module which we would love to encourage people to do, but the final task could also be knitted or crocheted as well. Hope that helps a bit with your decision ๐
dont weave either…. come on!
