They are a-blowing! Sometimes its all thats needed, it starts as a breeze of an idea and then it grows into a gusty lusty bigass idea that you just cant ignore! This is what has been happening behind the scenes at Fiberygoodness.com. It started with a small idea and has grown into something that is going to create some big changes. This is something of a rebranding, something of a direction change. We will still be offering and hosting a wonderful range of fiber art courses online, from our Flagship Golden Fleece Creativity Certificate course to Outstanding Images photography course for fiber artists. We will also be adding a whole new level of rich content! More information on this will be released soon, at present we are in the planning process now and preparing all the exciting THINGS 🙂
You may have also caught up with the extra activities I have added to my list of ‘things I do’. Not only the running of Fiberygoodness and our courses, including student support, video making, livestreams, and dreaming up new stuff as well, and continuing my role with Majacraft as Creative Manager (struggling to find a term that fits that role perfectly!). I have also happily taken up a role as Assistant Editor of the Creative Fibre NZ quarterly Magazine (with a lovely juicy learning curve) and I am also mentoring students through the ‘Designer Yarns Stage One’ certificate course I wrote for Creative Fibre NZ. I am relishing my roles with Creative Fibre, it is New Zealand’s national spinners and weavers guild, and next year will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary! Its a very active and exciting guild to be part of 🙂
So this is all a lead up to explaining the first change you may notice on Fiberygoodness.com. Of all the things I am doing, something had to go, so I have made the decision to remove our Majacraft store, as we change direction into a much more content rich focus rather than product focus. I will remain at Majacraft with a refreshed energy input on social media, creating product support videos, blog posting tutorials and Maja-news, and of course offering support and advice on Maja-products! So ending the Fiberygoodness dealership frees me up to be better at supporting YOU and Majacraft, and to put that time into the (re)development of an all new direction for Fiberygoodness, one that I think you will really enjoy and I hope get as excited about as I am! In a couple of weeks you will learn more as I put a call out for your input to my new projects 😉
Exciting changes looking forward to the new challenges
Love Jen
Change is good!!!
Sounds like some exciting changes in store. But where will I buy my Majacraft products?
Hi Terry! Yes good things too come 🙂 And dont worry, there are still lots of great Majacraft dealers, you can find your nearest one on the Majacraft website http://www.majacraft.co.nz and I am still more than happy to help you make product choices and answer questions if you need!
What a huge change. Great, to have more time for all those exciting challenges.
Good luck!
O Suzy,
Don’t keep us waiting to long, now you have made us very curious!
(nieuwsgierig! )
I wish you much fun with the prep iterations
Seasons change and so do our life’s plans. I think the changes on the wind for Fiberygoodness are grand ones and will only make it an even better place to be. Smiling & Waving, Sharon
