Welcome to the first issue of tinystudio for a new year! Let’s start this off with a fun and inspirational issue, which includes some of my favourite fiber artists sharing inspiration and information in a gorgeous eye-candy issue! Take some time to start your fiber art year off with some relaxation reading and immerse yourself in all the fibery goodness of yarn making and project planning. Here is a peek at what you can find in Issue 26:

Firstly, after a year of focussing on art yarns in 2024, I am planning on continuing this into 2025 with more inspirational articles on how to use art yarns in projects large and small. So many of us love to create art yarns, they are fun to spin, are challenging, push us to be innovative with interesting results, and of course, allow us to play with colour in new and interesting ways! Keeping these yarns as works of art in themselves is totally appropriate, but you can also use them to add uniqueness and character to your projects. In this issue we hear from Jacqui DeRosa (JValentineKnits) and Charan Sachar (Creative With Clay) who share excellent ideas and tips for incorporating art yarns into your work.
For those of us who also love to learn about fibres, breed studies, and unusual fibres, we have some very informative articles about how to process nettle fibres ready to spin (something anyone can try) and a really interesting dive into the backgrounds of a range of rare feral sheep breeds in New Zealand.
In this issue I also wanted to offer something that can be used for group activities, for the times we come together to spin, online and offline. This issue contains ‘cut out’ cards to share around at your fiber get togethers, share some fun, work together to meet the challenges, and enjoy some fibery inspiration!
This issue of tinystudio has a great deal of eye candy and beautiful colour to fill your spinners soul, I hope you will love it as much as I do!
